From our experience in collaborating with other companies, SERECO GESTIÓN is able to offer a final treatment for the dry material resulting from the separation or dewatering of polluted sludge. The treatment is ideal for solid state sludge polluted by hydro-carbons and /or mercury.

Thermal desorption is a technique which involves heating earth contaminated with dangerous and toxic waste  to a temperature between 90ºC -540ºC  to reach a low boiling point for the pollutants and so vaporise the contaminating agents thus separating them from the earth. (Remaining pollutants are treated using other methods).

The vaporised pollutants are captured and are usually treated with an emissions treatment system. Thermal desorption uses heat indirectly to separate pollutants from earth ready for posterior treatment.
